Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking an efficient secretary/administrator to support the Multidisciplinary Team within Adult Community Mental Health Services across Glasgow City HSCP. The role involves reception duties, data input, record management, and handling referrals through a single access point.

The post is permanent, part-time (20.7 hours over 3 days) with base at Maryhill Health and Care Centre. Flexible working arrangements may be discussed where service needs allow.

Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of EMIS or an equivalent Patient Administration System.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage communications effectively.
  • Experience in record management and data input processes.
  • Ability to support multidisciplinary healthcare teams in a busy service environment.

  • Deliver a high-quality secretarial and administrative service to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Carry out reception duties.
  • Input and maintain data accurately.
  • Manage patient and service records.
  • Undertake general typing and administrative tasks.
  • Manage calls and emails independently.

  • Support the wider Administrative Team with generic administrative functions.
  • Provide cover for administration colleagues during sickness, annual leave, or other absences.

Job description

The Role

The post holder will provide an effective and efficient secretarial and administrative service to the Multidisciplinary Team within Adult Community Mental Health Services across Glasgow City HSCP. The role supports managerial, psychology, nursing, and occupational therapy staff and includes reception duties, data input, record management, general typing, and handling referrals and enquiries through a single point of access.

This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker or Health and Care Worker visa routes.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

Permanent, part-time

Shift Pattern - 20.7 hours worked over 3 days. Shift pattern to be confirmed

Base location - Maryhill Health and Care Centre
