Job summary

NHS GP Practice Dunmow is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to greet patients, handle calls, and support clinicians with care navigation and admin tasks. Training will be provided on clinical correspondence and systems used in the practice.

The role requires a can-do attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced, welcoming team environment. We value politeness, compassion and professionalism, with a focus on delivering excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration or reception duties, preferably in healthcare.
• Ability to learn clinical systems and handle a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly, approachable personality with professionalism at all times.
• Willingness to participate in training on clinical correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients at reception in person and on the phone.
• Book and cancel appointments and manage the online rota.
• Support GPs in care navigation and other administrative duties.
• Maintain patient dignity, respect and confidentiality.
