Consulting rooms for Psychiatrists

Member of Aurora Health Group

Marian Centre Consulting Rooms is a specialist consulting rooms for psychiatrists in Wembley. The consulting rooms are part of the Marian Centre hospital, a private mental health hospital. We are currently offering a casual pool position for a new Medical Receptionist to join our team across our Aurora Sites.

This position requires the candidate to:

  • Be able to commence work immediately.
  • Be available to work between 8.00am and 5.00pm as required.
  • Flexibility to work at all sites including Marian Centre Consulting Suites, Marian Centre Private Hospital, and Abbotsford Psychiatry.
  • Provide high-quality administrative and clerical support to psychiatrists.
  • Be flexible within the work environment.
  • Be capable of multi-tasking and adapting to different tasks seamlessly.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.

Key Tasks include:

  • Reception duties such as administrative tasks, handling patient queries, and answering phones.
  • General administrative support including photocopying, typing, faxing, managing psychiatrist calendars, medical record keeping, and other administrative duties.
  • Liaising with external service providers as required.
  • Processing and managing patient accounts within a private consulting room setting.
  • Adapting to a fast-paced environment and learning new tasks quickly.
  • Assisting with accurate filing of records.

Extensive in-house training will be provided to the right candidate.

Applicants must have a current visa to work in Australia.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.

A mature personality and the ability to empathize with people from all walks of life are essential.

Interest in a long-term career within our organization is desirable.

Proficiency in medical software such as Best Practice or Webpas is preferable.

Experience in medical administration, front office reception duties, or general administration is required.

Experience with cash handling and processing accounts is also necessary.
