Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for an Administrator (Band 3) to join the Postgraduate Medical Education team. The post is based mainly at the Queen’s Hospital Education Centre and supports across sites.

You will provide administrative support to senior administrators and programme directors, organise postgraduate training, manage study leave processes and assist with teaching room setup.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
• Advanced Keyboard Skills

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Director of Postgraduate Medical Education (and deputies) and to Programme Directors
• Plan and implement postgraduate medical training courses and teaching programmes
• Administer and maintain study leave systems and ensure expenditure is within limits
• Negotiate sponsorship for teaching events and raise invoices accordingly
• Support Medical Education Committees meetings and distribute papers before deadlines
• Physically assist in setting up medical education teaching rooms and equipment
• On-site working is essential and cross-site work may be required by exception
