Job summary

Britvic in Leeds is recruiting for a 4‑year Engineering Apprenticeship to develop into a multi‑skilled engineer in a busy manufacturing environment. You will work toward a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician apprenticeship, with a Level 4 HNC top‑up during Years 3 and 4.

Your first year is full‑time college study at Appris training centre, building solid mechanical, electrical and engineering foundations before moving to site‑based learning.

Qualifications

• No prior engineering experience required; interest and commitment to learn.
• GCSEs incl Maths, English and a science subject are required.
• A UK resident aged 18+ by start of the apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Complete college, apprenticeship and HNC requirements and keep records up to date.
• Work safely and follow site health, safety, quality and hygiene rules.
• Build practical mechanical, electrical and automation skills under supervision.
• Assist with planned maintenance, fault finding and production line issues.
• Use maintenance systems and record completed work and parts used.
• Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement for equipment reliability.
• Support shutdowns, inspections and upkeep of engineering standards and areas.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams and show self‑reliance.
