Carlsberg Britvic is recruiting for an Engineering Apprentice in Northampton/Rugby to join a four-year programme. You will study a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician apprenticeship with a Level 4 HNC top-up, combining college work in Coventry with site‑based training.

Year 1 focuses on full‑time college study, Years 2–4 on practical engineering experience and day‑release learning, with potential night shifts in Year 4. The scheme supports progression to a permanent engineering role.

Competenze

• Five GCSEs at grades 4–9 (A*–C), including Maths, English and a science subject.
• Aged 18 or over by the start of the second year (Aug 2028) to meet on-site health and safety requirements.
• Must have been a UK resident for at least 3 years by the start of the apprenticeship.

Mansioni

• Complete all college, apprenticeship and HNC learning requirements, keeping your portfolio and development records up to date.
• Work safely at all times and follow site requirements for health, safety, food safety, quality, hygiene and the environment.
• Build practical mechanical, electrical, controls and automation skills through supervised tasks and structured training.
• Support Engineering Technicians with planned and preventative maintenance, fault‑finding, repairs and production‑line breakdowns.
• Learn to use maintenance systems accurately, including recording work completed and parts used.
• Take part in structured problem‑solving, root cause analysis and continuous improvement activity to improve equipment reliability, efficiency and performance.
• Support shutdown activity, equipment inspections and the upkeep of engineering standards, procedures and work areas.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering, Operations and other site teams, asking questions and learning from experienced colleagues.
• Be responsible for your development, respond positively to feedback and demonstrate increasing self‑sufficiency throughout the programme.
