Job summary

Britvic plc in Rugby offers a 4-year Engineering Apprenticeship culminating in a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician apprenticeship, with a Level 4 HNC top-up in Years 3 and 4.

Your first year will be with MGTS in Coventry, building solid mechanical, electrical and engineering foundations before moving into site-based learning. From Year 2 you’ll combine hands-on work with day-release study, and Year 4 may include night shifts as you transition to a permanent role.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths, English and a science subject.
• Age 18 or over by start of year 2 (August 2028).
• UK resident for at least 3 years by start of apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Complete all college, apprenticeship and HNC learning requirements with up-to-date portfolios.
• Work safely and follow site requirements for health, safety, food safety, quality and environment.
• Build mechanical, electrical, controls and automation skills through supervised tasks and structured training.
• Support technicians with planned and preventive maintenance, fault-finding and repairs.
• Learn to use maintenance systems and record work and parts used.
• Engage in problem-solving and continuous improvement to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Assist with shutdown activity and upkeep of engineering standards and work areas.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations and site teams and learn from experienced colleagues.
