Job summary

Carlsberg Britvic offers a 4-year Engineering Apprenticeship based in Beckton with travel to Coventry for college. You’ll work toward a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician apprenticeship and a Level 4 HNC top-up in Years 3 and 4.

Year 1 is full-time college with MGTS in Coventry, followed by site-based training and day-release study from Year 2. Year 4 may include shift work and nights as you move toward a permanent role.

Qualifications

• Five GCSEs at grades 4–9 (A*–C), including Maths, English and a science subject.
• Aged 18+ by August 2028 to meet on-site health and safety requirements.
• UK resident for at least 3 years by start of apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Complete college, apprenticeship and HNC learning requirements and keep records up to date.
• Work safely following site health, safety, food safety, quality, hygiene and env requirements.
• Build mechanical, electrical, controls and automation skills through supervised tasks.
• Support technicians with maintenance, fault finding and repairs.
• Learn to use maintenance systems and record work and parts used.
• Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement to improve equipment reliability.
