Mechanical Technician – Bedford – Salary £28k - £35k

Join an industry-leading R&D company in Bedford as a Mechanical Technician. This position offers a salary of £28k - £35k plus a generous shift allowance (good shift pattern, 6:30 – 14:30 and 14:00 – 22:00 rotating). You will be part of a friendly and supportive team responsible for inspections, fault-finding, maintenance, repairs of equipment, installation of new equipment, and implementation of improvements to existing plant equipment.

This role requires candidates to be able to gain UK Security Clearance.

Requirements – Mechanical Technician:

• Recent and relevant experience in installing, maintaining and repairing industrial systems and plant equipment (high pressure compressed air systems, water cooling & treatment systems, lubrication/hydraulic systems, machinery, rotating components, linkages etc.)
• Understanding of quality standards and excellent attention to detail.
• A team player with good communication skills and the ability to support/mentor less experienced staff.
