Job summary

Rullion seeks a Mechanical Surveillance Field Engineer for the Hinkley Point C project in Bridgwater. You will perform planned and continuous surveillance of mechanical construction work, focusing on pipework and HVAC installation and ensuring compliance with drawings, specs and QC plans.

The role suits an early-to-mid career engineer with ~2 years of site experience, good interpretation of drawings, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• This role requires a mechanical engineering background and practical site experience.
• Experience in a mechanical, site engineering, quality, inspection or construction role is preferred.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out field surveillance of pipework, HVAC and related mechanical installation activities.
• Monitor installation and assembly of pipework, pumps, tanks and rotating equipment.
• Check activities against drawings, specifications and Contractor Work Information.
• Review QA documentation and ensure records are complete before progressing.
• Identify quality issues early and support corrective actions.
