Job summary

Rullion is recruiting a Field Engineer - Welding & NDT Inspector to join the site's construction surveillance team at Hinkley Point C. This field-based contract role focuses on independent surveillance of welding, fabrication and construction activities, ensuring compliance with drawings, contracts and quality arrangements.

Qualifications

• CSWIP 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector required at minimum.
• Practical NDT experience and PCN certification knowledge.
• Hands-on welding/fabrication inspection on construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out field surveillance of welding, fabrication and installation activities against approved requirements, inspection plans and applicable codes.
• Reviewing welding and NDT inspection evidence, identifying discrepancies and ensuring concerns are escalated appropriately.
• Raising Non-Conformance Reports and monitoring corrective actions through to closure.
• Checking contractor compliance with Quality Control Plans and Inspection and Test Plans.
• Ensuring inspection records are completed, reviewed and agreed before works are covered.
• Maintaining site diaries and surveillance reports for quality KPIs.
• Collaborating with contractors and site teams to anticipate issues and resolve them.
• Ensuring changes follow formal review/approval processes with no unauthorised design decisions.
