Job summary

Jark PLC in Colchester is seeking a Working Mechanical Supervisor to lead on commercial mechanical installations. The role covers supervision of installation teams, coordination of labour and materials, and ensuring projects meet drawings and specifications.

Hourly/daily responsibilities include liaising with managers and clients, maintaining safety standards, and delivering projects on time. A strong background in building services and hands-on leadership is essential for this long-term

Qualifications

Working Mechanical Supervisor Colchester | £50,000+ East Anglia & London

We're working with a successful family-run Mechanical Contractor based in Colchester, delivering commercial mechanical projects up to £2m across East Anglia and London.

The Role

• Leading and supervising mechanical installation teams.
• Managing day-to-day site activities and subcontractors.
• Coordinating labour, materials and programme.
• Reading drawings and ensuring installations meet specification.
• Liaising with Project/Contracts Managers, clients and other trades.
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard.
• Getting hands‑on when required and leading from the front.

About You

We're looking for a Mechanical Supervisor / Mechanical Engineer with strong commercial building services experience.

You’ll need to be confident leading teams, reading drawings and managing mechanical installations on live projects. Experience across healthcare, education, MOD or commercial projects would be highly advantageous.
