Job summary

Jark PLC is seeking a Mechanical Site Manager to deliver mechanical building services projects across Essex and London. You will manage installation works, coordinate subcontractors and site teams, and work closely with Project Managers, engineers and clients to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery to required quality standards.

The role requires strong mechanical building services experience and proactive health & safety leadership. Salary up to £55,000 + benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ/HND in Mechanical Installation.
• Blue or Gold CSCS Card.
• SSSTS and SMSTS qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical installation works from mobilisation through to completion.
• Coordinate and supervise mechanical subcontractors and site teams.
• Work closely with Project Managers, engineers, subcontractors and the client.
• Ensure projects are delivered to programme and quality standards.
• Manage site health & safety and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor progress and report to the project team.
• Coordinate with other trades for efficient delivery.
• Attend site meetings and liaise with clients and stakeholders.

The Opportunity

A leading, medium-sized, family-run mechanical contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join their growing team. The business has an established reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical building services projects across the healthcare and education sectors, with projects typically valued at up to £2 million.

The Role

As Mechanical Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical projects across Essex and London, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing mechanical installation works from mobilisation through to completion.
• Coordinating and supervising mechanical subcontractors and site teams.
• Working closely with Project Managers, engineers, subcontractors and the client.
• Ensuring projects are delivered to programme and within the required quality standards.
• Managing site health & safety and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Monitoring progress and reporting back to the project team.
• Coordinating with other trades to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Attending site meetings and liaising with clients and other stakeholders.
• Ensuring installations are completed to specification and handed over successfully.

You will ideally have:

• Strong mechanical building services experience.
• Previous experience managing projects within healthcare, education or similar commercial environments.
• Experience managing projects up to around £2 million.
• The ability to manage subcontractors, site teams and multiple stakeholders.
• Good knowledge of health & safety and site compliance.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach to project delivery.
• Relevant mechanical qualifications and/or site management experience.
