Job summary

Tech-People is hiring a Mechanical Supervisor to oversee mechanical installation works across commercial projects in London & Hemel Hempstead. You will supervise on-site activities, coordinate engineers and subcontractors, and ensure progress against the programme.

The role requires a strong mechanical background, SSSTS and CSCS accreditation, and a hands-on leadership style to drive safety, quality and on-time delivery at multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a solid mechanical background with HVAC or related systems.
• Ability to coordinate engineers, subcontractors and on-site trades.
• Proven track record supervising commercial mechanical works on site.

I'm working with a well-established mechanical and air conditioning contractor who are looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join their team on a 6-month contract, covering projects across London and Hemel Hempstead.

The Role

As Mechanical Supervisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing mechanical installation works across commercial projects, ensuring everything is progressing safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

You'll be:

• Supervising mechanical and HVAC installation works on site
• Coordinating engineers, subcontractors and other trades
• Keeping works on programme and driving site progress
• Ensuring installations meet quality and specification requirements
• Monitoring health & safety and site standards
• Supporting the smooth delivery of mechanical services across multiple projects

What We're Looking For

• Valid SSSTS
• Valid CSCS
• Strong mechanical background - HVAC, plumbing, ductwork or similar
• Previous experience supervising commercial mechanical works
• Confident coordinating trades and managing site progress
• Good communication and a hands-on approach
