Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc on the NZT project in Redcar and Cleveland is seeking a Mechanical Quality Area Lead to drive quality assurance alongside the Construction Quality Manager and QHSE teams. You will oversee document control, ensure compliance with ISO 9001, and coach teams on BIM, CEMAR, and business collaboration tools, delivering project objectives safely and efficiently.

This role requires CQI qualifications and experience in M&E sectors, with strong stakeholder comms and hands-on site

Qualifications

• HNC in Quality Management or a relevant degree.
• CQI Certification and AMIQA membership are advantageous.
• Experience auditing against ISO 9001 and applying QMS controls.
• Familiarity with BIM, IT documentation tools and M&E project context.

Responsibilities

• Apply ISO 9001 across project activities and assured quality.
• Implement national/international codes including BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations.
• Understand and apply compEx, ATEX and construction management principles.
• Coordinate document control, liaise with site, design, subcontractors and customers.
