Job summary

Camlin Group is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Engineering Solutions team in Northern Ireland. You will deliver cost-effective mechanical designs for HV monitoring solutions, meeting technical specs, timelines and budgets.

You will capture requirements, develop bespoke designs, specify components and produce detailed drawings, while coordinating with customers and internal teams to ensure safe, successful project delivery and on-site support as required.

Qualifications

• A minimum 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience with CAD and producing 2D technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Capture and translate customer, site and project requirements into effective mechanical solutions.
• Develop, evaluate and customise mechanical and HV designs to meet specs and budgets.
• Select and specify mechanical components aligned with tender requirements and safety standards.
• Produce detailed engineering drawings and maintain documents, checklists and manuals.
• Design bespoke mechanical components ensuring safety, reliability and compliance.
• Manage design changes following formal processes and coordinate with teams.
• Support installation, commissioning and on-site troubleshooting as needed.
• Create test procedures, verification tools and maintenance guidance with specialists.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with customers, partners and internal service teams.
• Communicate progress and risks to stakeholders; drive continuous improvement.
