Camlin in Lisburn is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to join our high‑calibre team delivering high‑voltage monitoring solutions for diverse customers. You will produce technical specifications, create precise 2D drawings, and help define project requirements.

Working with senior engineers, you’ll ensure designs meet safety and mechanical integrity standards, support customer inquiries, and contribute to troubleshooting and continuous improvement in a professional engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a 2:1 Mechanical Engineering degree or related field.
• Experience with CAD software and 2D drawing creation is essential.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles is required.

We are seeking a Junior Project Engineer who will be responsible for:

• Developing comprehensive technical specification documents and checklists.
• Designing bespoke mechanically sound components, including hydraulic flange fittings.
• Collecting project requirements and understanding customer needs and preferences.
• Serving as a specialised point of contact for customer inquiries regarding our HV products.
• Produce accurate and detailed engineering drawings for customer projects.
• Develop and maintain technical specification documents and checklists.
• Ensure all designs, such as hydraulic flange fittings, meet mechanical integrity and safety standards.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and other departments to ensure project requirements are met.
• Support the implementation of HV monitoring solutions by providing technical expertise.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving customer issues related to project designs.

Qualifications:

• A minimum 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with CAD software packages (Solid-Edge preferably) including creating 2D technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within a professional engineering environment.
