Job summary

Anglian Water Services is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support pumping stations across Boston, Sleaford, Skegness and surrounding Lincolnshire areas. You will service pumps, valves, gearboxes and motors, optimise performance using data systems, and develop both commercial and industrial experience.

The role requires NVQ levels 2/3 in mechanical engineering, an apprenticeship, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ level 2 (ideally level 3) in Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Completed relevant apprenticeship and hold a full UK driving licence.
• Experience with mechanical/electrical control systems and telemetry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain pumping station assets to optimise performance and resilience.
• Work with pumps, valves, gearboxes and motors using telemetry and data tools.
• Support planned 5-day pattern and 37-hour week in Lincolnshire region.

Salary

• Starting Basic salary (plus standby & overtime payments): £39,520 for candidates with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering Subject)
• £35,360 for candidates with NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering Subject)
• Clear progression opportunities to earn up to £47,840 Basic with further training and experience
• All PPE, tools, and fuel card provided
• Permanent Full-time, with flexibility for part-time, 37 hours, 5-day planned working pattern
• Location: Boston, Sleaford, Skegness and surrounding Lincolnshire areas

Experience working with mechanical /Electrical control systems, telemetry systems and general water industry plant maintenance would be advantageous.

What does it take to be a Mechanical Maintenance Technician?

To be successful in this role, you will have obtained at least an NVQ level 2 (ideally level 3) Mechanical engineering qualification (or equivalent), completed a relevant apprenticeship and hold a full UK driving licence.
