Job summary

Anglian Water is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our pumping station servicing teams. You will help optimise performance and resilience of assets such as pumps, valves, gearboxes and motors using technology like Ovarro data.

We offer progression opportunities to higher basic salaries with training, plus PPE, tools and a fuel card. Location includes Boston and surrounding Lincolnshire areas, with a 37-hour, 5-day pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical maintenance and pump systems is required.
• Strong understanding of mechanical/electrical control systems is desirable.
• Familiarity with water industry plant maintenance is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise pumps, valves, gearboxes and motors at pumping stations.
• Utilise Ovarro data to monitor and improve asset performance.
• Work within a collaborative team to ensure asset resilience.

Job description

Starting Basic salary (plus standby & overtime payments): £39,520 for candidates with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering Subject)
£35,360 for candidates with NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent in Mechanical/Engineering Subject)

Clear progression opportunities to earn up to £47,840 Basic with further training and experience

All PPE, tools, and fuel card provided

Permanent Full-time, with flexibility for part-time, 37 hours, 5-day planned working pattern

Location: Boston, Sleaford, Skegness and surrounding Lincolnshire areas

Experience working with mechanical /Electrical control systems, telemetry systems and general water industry plant maintenance would be advantageous.

What does it take to be a Mechanical Maintenance Technician ?

To be successful in this role, you will have obtained at least an NVQ level 2 (ideally level 3) Mechanical engineering qualification (or equivalent), completed a relevant apprenticeship and hold a full UK driving licence.
