CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / plumber for a static, site-based role at a prestigious commercial building in Teddington, South West London.

You will be mechanically qualified (C&G / NVQ Level 2) with experience in HVAC, pumps, water treatment, lighting, BMS and plumbing. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

• Minimum mechanical/ plumbing qualification (C&G / NVQ Level 2).
• Proven track record in commercial or property maintenance.

Responsibilities

• HVAC plant and plant room maintenance.
• Air conditioning — air handling units and fan coil units (filter changes and cleaning).
• Chillers — monitoring and resets.
• Pumps, motors and cooling tower maintenance.
• Water treatment — temperature checks (non-dosing).
• Lighting — small installations, fault-finding, lamping, ballast changes, control panels and power distribution.
• Emergency lighting testing and certification.
• Fire alarm testing.
• UPS systems — monitoring and taking readings.
• Pressurisation units.
• BMS — monitoring hot and cold systems.
• Plumbing — unblocking toilets, changing taps, seals, etc.
• General building fabric maintenance.
• Escorting and overseeing sub-contractors.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / plumber | FM Service Provider | Commercial Building Teddington, South West London | Up to £45,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading FM service provider based in Teddington, South West London. We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / plumber for a static, site-based role within a large and prestigious commercial building.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, holding a City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 qualification, with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.

You will be responsible for carrying out mechanically-biased M&E and fabric planned and reactive maintenance as part of a close-knit team of three engineers, working alongside an on-site supervisor. You will be responsible for all landlord services across the building and will be required to demonstrate hands-on knowledge and experience of the following:

Duties

• HVAC plant and plant room maintenance

Hours of Work

• Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 (40-hour week)
• One week in 7, working a 10:00–19:00 shift
• On-call: 1 in 4 rota

Package

• Basic salary up to £45,000 per annum
• On-call allowance of an additional £5,000 per annum (1 in 4 rota)
