Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Limited in Teddington, South West London, is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a static, site-based role within a large, prestigious commercial building.

You will perform mechanically-biased M&E and fabric maintenance as part of a small team, covering HVAC, pumps, lighting and plumbing, with on-call duties and a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Mechanically / plumbing qualified — C&G / NVQ Level 2 (minimum).
• Copies of all trade certificates will be required upon application.
• Proven track record in commercial or property maintenance.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable, honest and hardworking.

Responsibilities

• HVAC plant and plant room maintenance.
• Air conditioning — air handling units and fan coil units (filter changes and cleaning).
• Chillers — monitoring and resets.
• Pumps, motors and cooling tower maintenance.
• Lighting — small installations, fault-finding, lamping, ballast changes, control panels and power distribution.
• Emergency lighting testing and certification.
• UPS systems — monitoring and taking readings.
• BMS — monitoring hot and cold systems.
• Plumbing — unblocking toilets, changing taps, seals, etc.
• General building fabric maintenance.
• Escorting and overseeing sub-contractors.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer | FM Service Provider | Commercial Building Teddington, South West London | Up to £45,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading FM service provider based in Teddington, South West London. We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a static, site-based role within a large and prestigious commercial building.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, holding a City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 qualification, with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.

You will be responsible for carrying out mechanically-biased M&E and fabric planned and reactive maintenance as part of a close-knit team of three engineers, working alongside an on-site supervisor. You will be responsible for all landlord services across the building and will be required to demonstrate hands‑on knowledge and experience of the following:

Hours of Work

• - Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 (40-hour week)
• - One week in 7, working a 10:00–19:00 shift
• - On-call: 1 in 4 rota

Package

• - Basic salary up to £45,000 per annum
• - On-call allowance of an additional £5,000 per annum (1 in 4 rota)
