Job summary

Pirelli UK Tyres Ltd – Burton-on-Trent is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join our Maintenance team in Burton. The role is 40 hours per week, 08:00–16:00, Monday to Friday, with a basic salary of £47,050 per annum.

The successful candidate will maintain tyre building and rubber processing machinery with a strong focus on safe operation and production uptime. Time served with NVQ Level 3, hydraulics/pneumatics knowledge, and welding/fabrication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Time served Mechanical Fitter with NVQ Level 3.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic principles and ability to read schematics.
• Good aptitude for mechanical repairs including manual machining, bench fitting, welding and fabrication skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain tyre building and rubber processing machinery and services including mechanical transmissions, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Diagnose faults in mechanical systems, equipment and components.
• Perform routine maintenance, lubrication schedules and safety checks on machinery.
