Job summary

Pirelli UK Tyres Ltd, Burton on Trent, seeks a Control & Systems Engineer to join our engineering team. You will lead projects from concept to design and realisation, delivering improvements across a range of control systems and automation processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires strong technical capability, hands-on factory and office work, travel to sites, and collaboration with PED/Engineering teams in Burton and Carlisle. 40 hours/week, 08:00–16:00.

Qualifications

• Essential: strong English and maths; high general education.
• Essential: IT skills with Excel; qualifications in industrial software/control systems.
• Essential: ability to lead projects end-to-end from concept to realisation.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional engineering service.
• Lead projects to meet timings and budgets.
• Collaborate with Burton and Carlisle factories and PED/Engineering teams.
• Train and mentor colleagues; share know‑how through coaching or shadowing.
• Maintain confidentiality of IP and represent Pirelli UK professionally.
