Job summary

Questech Recruitment are supporting a well-established and growing manufacturing business in the search for a Mechanical Fitter to join their Production team in Warwickshire. This is a hands-on role focused on mechanical assembly, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and delivering high-quality products within a structured production environment.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical fitter/assembly/production experience.
• Experience in a takt time, single-line production environment.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Comfortable using computer-based production systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install mechanical components to engineering specifications.
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Maintain high standards of quality and health & safety.
• Work collaboratively to meet production targets and takt times.
• Promote good housekeeping standards within the production area.
• Use internal systems, including Production Management Systems (PMS).
• Remain flexible and support different departments when required.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a Mechanical Fitter / Assembly / Production role
• Experience working in a takt time, single-line production environment
• Strong skills in:
  • Mechanical assembly
  • Hydraulic fitting
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Comfortable using computer-based production systems
• Flexible, self-motivated, and a strong team player
• Willingness to work in confined spaces and undertake occasional lifting

Qualifications

• Relevant mechanical fitting qualification or training (desirable)
• Hydraulics / pneumatics training advantageous
