Job summary

Marshalls plc in Sandy is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to keep our production line running by fault-finding and maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical control systems. The role operates a 48-hour week with a dayshift pattern (Mon-Thu 10h, Fri 8h).

Qualifications

• Mechanical fitting with good knowledge of conveyor belts, drives, gearboxes, couplings and general mechanical equipment
• Good knowledge of Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems is essential
• Finding and fixing faults safely and efficiently
• Welding and fabrication skills essential
• Routine Preventative Maintenance so an understanding of a PPM schedule is advantageous
• Turning and milling knowledge and experience would be advantageous
• Experience of working in a medium to heavy industry, particularly aggregates would be advantageous
• Electrical qualifications would be advantageous
• Working as part of a team in a busy manufacturing factory to ensure production targets are met
• Complete risk assessments when requested.

Responsibilities

• Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
• You will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on-site. Working 48 hours per week, the shift pattern covers days - Monday to Thursday (10hr) and Friday (8hr).
