Job summary

Marshalls plc is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Bridgend, Wales to ensure continuous production through fault finding and preventive maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, batching/mixing plant, conveyors and electrical control systems.

You will work within the Engineering team on planned and reactive maintenance, contribute to safety, quality and OEE targets, and support continuous improvement across the site. The role follows a 3-week shift rotation with a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering skills demonstrated in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Electrical knowledge and/or qualifications advantageous.
• Time served/apprentice trained in a similar role with mechanical qualifications.
• Good understanding of health, safety and environmental issues.
• Experience with maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyors and control systems.
• Knowledge of electrical fault finding and PLC desirable.
• Knowledge of CMMS/maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous production by fault finding and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic systems, batching/mixing plant, conveyors and electrical/electronic controls.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities on site.
• Contribute to safety, quality, waste and OEE targets.
