Mars Petcare in Melton Mowbray is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our fast-paced FMCG manufacturing facility. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimise automated systems, including high-speed production lines and robotics, to minimise downtime and maximise output.

The role requires strong problem-solving, leadership, and teamwork, plus hands-on experience with ABB/KUKA robotics, PLCs, and SAP maintenance tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC/HND in mechanical engineering or related field with practical experience.
• Experience in FMCG/manufacturing environments and troubleshooting complex systems.
• Proven problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, PI Process Book, and SAP Planned Maintenance.
• Leadership and teamwork capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance automated systems.
• Diagnose breakdowns and ensure timely resolutions to boost productivity.
• Lead and coach technicians to reduce downtime.
