Job summary

Mars Petcare Melton Mowbray factory is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to keep high-speed processing lines operating and to lead root-cause analysis for downtime reduction.

You will troubleshoot and maintain automated electromechanical systems and mentor others, using ABB/Kuka robotics, Allen Bradley PLCs, and predictive maintenance tools.

Qualifications

• Technical qualifications: HNC/HND in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience in FMCG/manufacturing environments with complex mechanical systems.
• Proven problem-solving skills including root cause analysis and fault finding.
• Proficiency with Excel, PI ProcessBook, SAP Planned Maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance automated and electromechanical systems.
• Diagnose breakdowns and ensure timely resolutions to boost productivity.
• Lead as team leader and coach colleagues with technical expertise.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure safety standards.

• Technical Qualifications: Minimum HNC/HND in mechanical engineering or a related field, with practical experience.
