An exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based in London has arisen! CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer based on a scientific facility building near Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will carry out planned and reactive building maintenance alongside the on-site maintenance team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and proven experience in plumbing building maintenance. In return, the company offers a competitive salary of £38,000, overtime, further training, and potential career progression.

Hours of work

• Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Key duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical plant including pumps, motors, seals, bearings
• Maintain air conditioning systems such as Air Handling Units and Fan Coil Units (filter changes, cleaning)
• Water treatment tasks including temperature checks (not dosing)
• Plumbing tasks like unblocking toilets, replacing taps and washers
• Monitor BMS systems

Requirements

• Mechanical/Plumbing - City & Guilds Level 2/3
• Ability to provide copies of trade certificates
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• Multi-skilled with good communication skills
• Client-facing experience
