Qualifications

• Minimum ONC/Level 3 National Extended Diploma or equivalent in engineering.
• Post-apprenticeship experience including inspection work.

Job description

As a mechanically biased engineer, you will be involved in a variety of tasks including preventative and corrective maintenance, conducting opening and closing checks, fault finding, diagnostic work, and participating in our annual winter maintenance program. You will be a specialist in your field, providing expertise to develop and improve reliability, safety, and ride availability, ensuring all guests have the best possible experiences and return year after year to our amazing resort.

Qualifications & Experience for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

1. A “can do” attitude and enthusiasm for the role.
2. A minimum of an ONC/Level 3 National Extended Diploma or equivalent, gained through a recognised apprenticeship in engineering.
3. Post-apprenticeship experience, including inspection work.
4. Understanding of engineering-related statutory requirements such as COSHH.
5. Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
6. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
7. Problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
8. Experience in a theme park environment is not essential; relevant engineering experience is also suitable.
9. Ability to use technical manuals, risk assessments, and related documentation.
