Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:
- 3rd level qualification in Building Services / Mechanical Engineering or a trade background
- At least 3 years of experience in a site-based MEP role
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work within a high-performance team
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure Mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety for all stakeholders
- Lead by example, communicating company health & safety policies and integrating safety into all discussions
- Be aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out)
- Maintain full knowledge of project Mechanical systems and monitor installation for compliance with specifications and schedule
- Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs)
- Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure compliance
- Coordinate that rooms or areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use, aligned with the construction schedule
- Provide stakeholders with sufficient information to facilitate system installation and project progression
- Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete works efficiently
- Review the master construction schedule to identify opportunities for sequencing Mechanical and CSA activities to improve delivery
- Lead and participate in onsite and offsite meetings with project stakeholders
- Issue weekly progress and cost reports as needed
- Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower levels
- Ensure that system stakeholders produce required documentation, including construction and commissioning programs, work trackers, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs
