Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:

• 3rd level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering degree and/or trade background
• At least 3 years’ experience in a site-based MEP role
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a high-performance team

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety of all stakeholders
• Lead by example, promoting company health & safety policies and integrating safety into all discussions
• Be aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies like Lock Out Tag Out
• Understand project mechanical systems and monitor installation compliance with specifications and schedules
• Assist in developing project-specific commissioning plans and understand commissioning requirements
• Conduct site inspections of mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure compliance
• Coordinate that areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use, aligned with construction schedules
• Provide stakeholders with necessary information to facilitate system installation and project progress
• Ensure contractors and vendors are properly resourced to complete electrical activities efficiently
• Review construction schedules for opportunities to optimize mechanical and CSA work sequencing
• Lead and participate in project meetings with all relevant stakeholders
• Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required
• Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower
• Review and ensure deliverables from stakeholders include construction and commissioning programs, work trackers, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs
