Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:
- 3rd level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering degree and/or trade background
- Minimum 3 years’ plus experience in a site-based MEP role
- Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a high-performance team
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure Mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety of all stakeholders
- Lead by example and ensure all stakeholders are aware of company-specific health & safety policies and procedures
- Be fully aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out)
- Maintain a full working knowledge of the project Mechanical systems and track system installation for compliance with specifications and schedule
- Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing commissioning plans
- Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure compliance
- Coordinate that rooms or areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use in line with the master schedule
- Provide stakeholders with sufficient information to progress systems installation in line with the master schedule
- Ensure contractors and vendors are properly resourced to complete works successfully
- Review the master construction schedule for opportunities to focus on work faces for Mechanical and CSA scope to enhance delivery
- Chair and contribute to onsite and offsite meetings with project stakeholders
- Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required
- Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower
- Review and ensure system stakeholders produce necessary documents such as programs, execution plans, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs
