Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:

• 3rd level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering degree and/or trade background
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a site-based MEP role
• Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a high-performance team

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety of all stakeholders
• Lead by example, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of company health & safety policies and procedures
• Be aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out)
• Understand project mechanical systems and track installation compliance with specifications and schedule
• Assist in developing project-specific commissioning plans (CIPs)
• Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works for compliance
• Coordinate that areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use in line with the construction program
• Provide stakeholders with sufficient information to progress system installations in line with the schedule
• Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete works efficiently
• Review the master construction schedule for opportunities to improve sequencing and program delivery
• Chair and participate in meetings with project stakeholders
• Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required
• Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower
• Review and ensure production of necessary documentation from system stakeholders, including programs, work trackers, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs
