Job summary

RNN Group in Worksop is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to deliver hands-on mechanical lab sessions and teach across CAD, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and manufacturing systems.

The role requires a teaching qualification (or working towards), a Level 3+ Mechanical Engineering qualification, and demonstrable experience in teaching apprentices or students. A desirable assessor's award is valued. This is a part-time, temporary position starting September 2026.

Qualifications

• Must hold a teaching qualification or be working towards.
• Must hold a level 3+ professional qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience teaching students/apprentices.
• Be well organised and able to manage your workload.
• Assessor's award is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on mechanical labs across CAD, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and manufacturing.
• Develop and update the college curriculum to reflect industry trends.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with the programme team to ensure high teaching standards.

Location: North Notts Campus, Worksop

Salary : Up to £26.48 - £32.91 per hour plus holiday pay (dependant on experience and teaching qualification)

Vacancy Type: Temporary September 2026, Part Time (22hours per week)
