Job summary

RNN Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer at North Notts Campus, Worksop. This temporary, part-time role (22 hours per week) offers hands-on teaching in CAD, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and manufacturing systems, with a focus on real-world engineering.

You will influence curriculum, mentor learners, and contribute to the college's engineering programmes while balancing a dynamic workload. This position supports professional development and access to college facilities.

Qualifications

• Hold a teaching qualification or be working towards.
• Hold a level 3+ professional qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Have experience of teaching students/apprentices.
• Be well organised and able to manage your own workload.
• Hold an assessor's award (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead dynamic labs delivering hands-on training across CAD, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, or manufacturing systems.
• Directly influence and modernize the College's engineering programmes with current industry trends.
• Transform learners by breaking down complex technical concepts with practical coaching.
• Mentor students from foundational engineering concepts to career readiness.
• Take real-world engineering expertise and bring it to life in advanced engineering labs.

Salary: Up to £26.48 - £32.91 per hour plus holiday pay (dependant on experience and teaching qualification)
