Babcock International invites applicants to join a 5‑Year Mechanical Engineering with Manufacturing Apprenticeship. You will study for a BEng Mechanical Engineering with Manufacturing degree at UWE while gaining hands‑on experience in workshops and production environments, rotating through Marine projects and learning milling, turning, fitting and quality control.

You’ll work toward professional registration, supported by mentors and a structured apprenticeship programme designed to develop

Qualifications

• Multiple routes accepted: GCSEs, UCAS points, A Levels, BTEC, Access to HE, IB or Irish Highers.
• Requirements cover maths, science/tech subjects and overall academic readiness.
• Security clearance eligibility may affect eligibility for the programme.

Responsabilités

• Support the design, build and improvement of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Rotate through Marine business areas to assist with development and delivery of engineering solutions.
• Contribute to projects spanning the full engineering lifecycle on cutting‑edge submarines.

Formation

GCSEs grade C/4+ including English & Maths

112 UCAS points

A Levels: Maths + two sciences/tech subjects (B/C)

BTEC Diploma in relevant Engineering field

Access to HE Diploma: 30 Level 3 credits

IB Diploma: Maths & Physics HL + science subject

Irish Highers: Maths + science pass

T Levels: Maths + T Level

BPSS & SC security clearance eligibility
