Job summary

Babcock is offering a Mechanical Engineering with Manufacturing Degree Apprenticeship in Bristol. The programme combines hands-on workshop work with academic study toward a BEng degree, rotating across Marine projects and production environments.

You’ll gain practical skills in milling, turning and fitting, while developing problem-solving and collaboration under experienced engineers and mentors. Starts Sept 2027, with BPSS/SC security prerequisites.

Qualifications

• GCSEs incl English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
• 112 UCAS points or equivalent.
• Maths, Physics or engineering-focused criteria apply.
• Acceptance by UWE for degree progression.

Responsibilities

• Support design, build and improvement of mechanical systems.
• Rotate through manufacturing environments and workshop.
• Contribute to projects spanning design to production.
• Learn inspection, quality and safety standards on site.
