Job summary

AndersElite in Shoreditch is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a temporary role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance on HVAC equipment including FCUs, boilers, pumps, and AHUs, with some minor plumbing such as TMV/taps.

Must have NVQ2 in Mechanical Engineering, 3–5 years' experience, DBS or willingness, and FCU maintenance experience. NVQ3 preferred. The role pays £30 per hour Umbrella or £22.72 PAYE plus holiday pay.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3–5 years' relevant experience in an office environment.
• FCU maintenance experience.
• DBS check required or willing to complete.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, reactive and installation works in line with policy, specs and HSE. Pumps, Boilers, FCUs, AHUs, HVAC plant.
• Maintain records for service delivery and contract requirements.
• Complete works competently and safely with subcontractor supervision as needed.
• Develop IT skills (Excel/Word/Email/PDA) to manage information and workload.
• Prioritise workload with team leader to meet time and budget.
• Assess hazards and manage risks for all work.

Job description

My client one of the UKs largest Facilities Management companies in the UK are looking for a Mechanical Engineer in the Shoreditch area.

The successful candidate will be doing PPM and reactive works, L8 training , minor plumbing works required i.e. changing TMVs/Taps etc also.

Responsibilities include:

• Carry out maintenance, reactive and installation works in accordance with appropriate policy, specifications and HSE regulations. Pumps, Boilers, FCUs, AHUs, HVAC plant
• Maintain all records associated with delivering the service ensuring faults are repaired in accordance with the contract requirements
• Complete all works in a competent and compliant manner in accordance with the appropriate policy, specifications and HSE requirements (Inc the supervision of sub-contractors) and documents completed.
• Develop a level of competence in the application of IT skills (Excel / Word / Email / PDA), to manage business information, communication and workload.
• Work with team leader to prioritise workload to ensure all works are completed within time and budget.
• Ensure all types of work undertaken are assessed for hazards and risks and those risks and hazards are appropriately managed.
