Job summary

Trevett Project Services is seeking a Mechanical Engineer based in Teddington to join a large team responsible for mechanical and plumbing maintenance at a major research facility. In this role you'll cover both planned preventative maintenance and reactive tasks, with a strong emphasis on client-facing communication.

You will work on assets including actuators, pressure sensors, heat exchangers, pumps, expansion vessels, extract fans, pressurisation units, and air handling units.

Qualifications

• FM background with Level 2 in mechanical, plumbing or HVAC.
• Ability to perform both PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Client-facing with good communication and teamwork skills.

• Maintain mechanical and plumbing systems at a large research facility.
• Perform planned maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Work closely with the client and team to deliver reliable operations.

Mechanical Engineer

Days

£46,000 + £5,000 call out allowance

Based in Teddington

The Role:

As a mechanical engineer, you will be working within a large team, covering all mechanical and plumbing maintenance on a large research facility, both PPM and reactive. Being client facing is a must.

You will be working on assets such as actuators, pressure sensors, heat exchangers, pumps, expansion vessels, extract fans, pressurisation units, air handling units and much more.

You will work Mon-Fri, either 07:00 - 16:00 or 08:00 - 17:00 (depending on what you prefer), but 1 in every 7 weeks you must work 10:00 - 19:00. There is a 1 in 4 call out rota, which you receive a £5,000 for as a call out allowance.

Remuneration and Benefits:

• 25x days annual leave + bank holidays
• Birthday paid day off (if falls on weekend then get it the following week)
• 3 paid volunteer days (you are encouraged to take these!)
• Overtime is 1.5x Mon-Sun
• Allocated training allowance - meaning they will put you through qualifications and certificates, for example HVAP
• Holiday buy back up to 5x days
• 3%/5% pension

Qualifications & Experience:

Our client is ideally seeking someone from an FM background with a level 2, either in mechanical, plumbing or heating & ventilation.
