Job summary

PRS in York is seeking a multi skilled Mechanical Building Maintenance Engineer to maintain a large estate. The role covers mechanical plant room work, pumps, valves, basic plumbing, HVAC and compliance tasks, with a permanent contract and a basic salary up to £43,000.

The job operates on a shift pattern: 6am–6pm. Week one Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun; Week two Wed, Thu. A PVG check may be requested, and a valid driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Mechanical Engineer or Commercial plumber.
• Experience with plant room, AHU/FCU etc.
• PPM and reactive maintenance experience.
• Willingness to pass PVG check.
• Valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance to mechanical plant room, pumps and valves.
• Perform plumbing maintenance tasks.
• Maintain AHU/fan coil units and basic HVAC components.
• Execute checks and compliance duties including water temperatures.
• Carry out small works installations and emergency repairs.
• Handle ad-hoc maintenance tasks as required.

We are recruiting for a multi skilled maintenance engineer based in the York area covering the maintenance of a large scale estate. The role will involve general mechanical aspects of building maintenance including plant room, basic plumbing, HVAC and compliance etc.

The role is a permanent position paying up to £43,000 basic and based on a shift pattern: Shifts from 6am to 6pm Week one - Mon,Tues,Fri,Sat,Sun Week two - Wed,Thurs

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Duties:

• Completing PPM and reactive maintenance to:
• Mechanical Plant room
• Pumps and valves
• Plumbing maintenance
• Basic AHU/fan coil upkeep
• Checks and compliance duties including water/tap temps etc.
• Small works installation
• Emergency repairs
• All ad- hoc maintenance tasks

Requirements:

• A qualified Mechanical Engineer or Commercial grade plumber
• Experience of plant room, AHU's, FCU's etc.
• Previous PPM and reactive maintenance experience
• Excellent client facing skills
• Valid driving license
• Willingness to complete fabric and plumbing tasks
• Willing and ability to pass a PVG check
