Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions in Cambridge is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive works on Heating & Air-Conditioning systems on client sites.

The role requires formal training in mechanical services maintenance with a focus on pumps, motors and valves, and a commitment to health and safety, records, and customer service. On-site work includes potential out-of-hours standby.

Qualifications

• A good basic education is essential, with good written and spoken English and basic Mathematics skills.
• Formally trained in mechanical services maintenance.
• Formal health and safety training (Desirable).
• Basic skills on building management systems would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works on Heating & Air-conditioning systems.
• Maintain evaporative cooling systems and domestic water systems to comply with L8 requirements.
• Repair plant faults and defects to keep systems in serviceable order.
• Keep comprehensive maintenance records and prepare method statements and risk assessments.
• Develop good working relationships with CBRE Managed Services staff and client staff.
• Attend out-of-hours rostered stand-by and call-out procedures.
