Job summary

Babcock in Plymouth is recruiting for its Mechanical Engineering Graduate Programme. You will support the upkeep of the UK Royal Navy's submarine fleet at Devonport, with exposure to mechanical systems, design, construction, commissioning and in-service support.

During two-year placements across Design Authority, Plant Management, Safety Case and Operational Support, you’ll develop CAD drawings, perform analyses and report findings, while mentoring and CPD help you progress toward Chartered

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Security clearance requirements including BPSS and SC may apply.

Responsibilities

• Support lifecycle activities for mechanical systems from concept to decommissioning.
• Produce engineering drawings and models using CAD software.
• Conduct technical analyses and write detailed reports.
• Perform inspections and validations, including onboard submarines.
