Gi Group (United Kingdom) is seeking a Design & FEA Model Preparation Engineer in Fareham. The role blends mechanical design with FEA model prep, roughly 60% design and 40% analysis preparation.

You will create 3D CAD models using Autodesk Inventor, produce 2D drawings, and support heat exchanger projects across data centres, heat pumps and hydrogen tech. Hybrid work follows a 3-month induction.

Formación

• A degree or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Good working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor.
• Experience creating 3D models and producing 2D engineering drawings.
• An understanding of mechanical assemblies and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work with complex CAD models and engineering documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Interest in developing knowledge of FEA and structural analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Mechanical design and development of 3D CAD models and drawings.
• Prepare CAD models for Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Collaborate with international engineering teams and manufacturing partners.
• Maintain Bills of Materials and technical documentation.
• Support prototype development and initial production improvements.
