GI Group in Fareham is seeking a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to CDU, pump skid, heat exchanger projects and related assemblies. You will translate requirements into practical 3D mechanical designs and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor.

You’ll gain exposure to new product development, improvements, BOM creation, and collaboration with manufacturing and engineering teams, with hybrid work after induction.

Competenze

• Background in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Design.
• Experience using Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software.
• Ability to produce 3D models and 2D drawings, interpret P&ID diagrams.

Mansioni

• Create and modify 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
• Design mechanical layouts, assemblies, frames, supports and piping arrangements.
• Interpret P&ID drawings and translate process requirements into practical designs.
• Ensure designs consider tolerances, accessibility, assembly and manufacturing needs.
• Produce BOMs, component lists and technical documentation.
• Support prototype builds, product improvements and engineering changes.
• Collaborate with process engineers, manufacturing and other teams.
• Support development of products for manufacture across international sites.
