GI Group Main Account is seeking a Design & FEA Model Preparation Engineer in Fareham, Hampshire. The role combines mechanical design and FEA model preparation, with around 60% design and 40% analysis.

You'll work on heat exchanger technology and collaborate with international teams, gaining exposure to FEA tools. Hybrid working is available after an initial three-month induction, and you will receive structured training from an experienced engineering team to develop CAD and analysis skills for

Competenze

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Good working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and 3D modeling.
• Ability to produce 2D engineering drawings and understand mechanical assemblies.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical problem-solving approach.
• Willingness to expand knowledge into FEA and structural analysis.

Mansioni

• Create and develop 3D mechanical designs using Autodesk Inventor.
• Prepare CAD models for Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and ensure suitable load paths.
• Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with international engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Improve CAD-to-FEA processes and resolve geometry/meshing issues.
