Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is leading the NZTeesside project at Redcar and Cleveland, with opportunities to contribute to cutting-edge ventilation design and integrated gas-fired power station delivery. The role involves design deliverables, vendor reviews, and close collaboration with D&E teams and external partners.

The ideal candidate will have strong Revit/AutoCAD skills, HVAC calculations experience, and a proactive approach to risk-aware design.

Qualifications

• Proficient in ventilation design for HVAC systems.
• Ability to perform heating, cooling and fluid flow calculations.
• Experience working with cross-functional project teams and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of codes of practice and regulatory material.

Responsibilities

• Create mechanical ventilation design deliverables for ductwork systems (low and high integrity).
• Input to process, heat exchanger, treatment plant and prime mover specifications and design.
• Review vendor documentation for compliance with project specifications.
• Communicate residual design risks and develop robust design solutions.
• Maintain relationships with technical consultants and suppliers.
