Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd offers an Industrial Placement for Mechanical Engineering in Basildon, with a year-long program and a salary of £26,228. You will join multidisciplinary teams and contribute across the product lifecycle to gain hands-on experience.

During the placement, you will work on mechanical design, use CAD/analysis tools, and develop professional skills with coaching and potential future graduate opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Understanding of design principles and engineering processes.
• Familiarity with CAD/analysis tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to mechanical design and development.
• Work within the integrated project team to deliver engineering output and assist with technical information.
• Support and facilitate reviews.
• Liaison with systems, electrical, quality and production to satisfy requirements.
• Perform hands-on mechanical design using 3D CAD or analysis software.
• Deliver solutions within budget and timescales.
• Create documentation in line with BS8888 and manage in the PDM system.
