Job summary

Reevr Talent Ltd is representing a growing UK engineering and manufacturing business seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer. You will own projects from concept through to manufacture, delivering robust bespoke components for industrial applications.

You will produce detailed 3D CAD models, develop assemblies and work with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are cost-effective and fit for purpose. SolidWorks expertise and a hands-on mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering/design experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong SolidWorks skills essential.
• Ability to produce detailed engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Develop bespoke mechanical components, assemblies and systems.
• Support projects from concept and design through to manufacture.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective and fit for purpose.
• Make design improvements and resolve technical issues throughout the product lifecycle.
• Work with suppliers and external stakeholders where required.
• Support the development of new products and continuous improvement of existing designs.
