Job summary

Reevr is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its expanding engineering team in the UK. You will work on bespoke machinery from concept through to manufacture, combining mechanical design, fabrication, automation, and robotics.

The role requires strong SolidWorks and 3D CAD experience, a hands-on problem-solving mindset, and the ability to take designs from initial concept through to production while collaborating with manufacturing teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Strong SolidWorks and 3D CAD experience.
• Previous experience designing machinery, special purpose equipment, or capital equipment.
• Good understanding of fabrication, welding, and sheet metal design.
• A practical, hands-on engineering mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
• Ability to take designs from initial concept through to manufacture.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a growing engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
• Design bespoke machinery and equipment from concept through to production.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and manufacturable.
• Develop sheet metal, fabrication, and mechanical assemblies.
• Support the integration of automation and robotic systems into machinery designs.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Take ownership of projects and contribute to continuous product development and innovation.
